Energy\ Togo: the reasons for disturbances in known power lines

The various disturbances in the supply of electricity to Togo for a few days are in no way under any incapacity of the Electric Electricity Company of Togo (Togo).

Rather, they arise from large-scale maintenance work, started on January 22, 2024 in Ghana and Nigeria on certain electrical energy and natural gas production infrastructures and which should be completed on February 8, 2024. 

This work unfortunately experienced a delay in implementation, informed the CEET this Friday, February 16 in a press release made public by the general management of the electric company

“The disruptions in the supply of electrical energy experienced by neighborhoods in cities and certain localities in the national territory are likely to continue.”, noted the note before nevertheless specifying that “the technical teams of the CEET, of the CEB andProducers are mobilized to mitigate these disruptions as much as possible and for a return to normal. 

Furthermore, the General Management of the Company apologizes to the customers affected by the inconvenience and thanks them for their good understanding.
